Remember the ruckus at SWJ about Nir Rosen’s visit with the Taleban? The one where opponents of “embedding with the enemy” reminisced misty-eyed about the Greatest War when the press served as a propaganda tool? Now Israeli politicians are using the same argument to justify keeping the media out of Gaza:
‘We must not allow international press to open a public relations office for terrorists,’ Trade and Industry Minister Eli Yishai said in a statement.
I’m sure Dave and Bing agree.
In much agreement as well. The only one who benefit from embedding with Hamas, is Hamas. Getting even more sympathetic stories from their perspective would be great for these terrorists.
Why any sane person would want to hear more of their propaganda is beyond me. Such types should be avoided by the media until there is some kind of sane reason for going in.
I strongly disagree. Isn’t it just as much propaganda if we only hear the Israeli side? I say let us hear the BS stories of both sides, not just one. One can only take so much Israeli propaganda before one feels the need to hear some different BS.
